I am a woman and I think all the ladies in the panel are idiots including the lawyer. Firstly, the law should be changed to ensure that any report of harrassment or being beaten should have evidence and a medical report. Secondly, the NGO rep Khatijah talks about her daughter but what if she has a son I wonder if she will be saying the same things. Although I am a woman I know many men who have been falsely accused and being a person who believes in justice, I think the law should be amended that if anyone found to have made a false report, they should be punished severly. Secondly as the men said, if a woman gives dowry that is also an offence and she should also be arrested for committing the crime. Its easy for the lawyer and the journalist to say that the courts are doing a good job. But what about the courts who have been bias. The other thing is that, the court can only give judgement if the case goes to the court. The police themself are so corrupted and many women's parents who are well off pay off the police to take the false report and harrass the man and his family. The police deliberately delay the cases going to court and force the men to compromise. There should be a time frame for every case lodged to go to court. It should not be later than 3 months as peoples lives are destroyed when cases go on for 10 to 15 years. There are so many more issues that need to be sorted out. But I will stop here. The women on the panel should be fair to the men too, if their son were to marry a woman who makes a false allegation against their son, them maybe they will change their mind.
